Does anyone know definitively whether or not the stand-alone, licensed (not CC subscribed) version of LR6 can import raw 5DIV files, or at least convert them to dng?
My LR5 cannot, so I have to use the dng converter before I can import--an extra step I'd rather not have to do.
My licensed versions of LR & PS6 are still all I need, and I'm resisting as long as possible the subscription route. I don't want to spring for LR6 if it still can't deal with my files.
Thanks!

Here is the best info I could find on Lightroom support for the 5D MK IV.
Minimum Camera Raw plug-in version required--9.7
Minimum Lightroom version required--6.7
The latest/most current version of Lightroom CC is 2015.9 and Lightroom 6 is 6.9.

There is a footnote regarding Pre-processing Canon Dual Pixel Raw files before opening in Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom.

Hope this helps,

Regarding a free trial of LR6, please see:

https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1825039 (external link)

and

https://helpx.adobe.com …ivate-as-lightroom-6.html (external link)

for the mechanics of a free trial and the caveats, etc. Hopefully someone here on the forum who uses the perpetually licensed LR6 version and has a Canon 5DIV can give you their definitive experience.

Hope this helps.

Or they can go to imaging-resource.com and grab a sample 5DIV raw file there. Might make it easier for you to get a response.

Yes, LR6 standalone DOES support 5D4 files. It does need to be updated, since LR6 was released before the 5D4.

Agree with roqdawg - mine is Version 6.7 and it works just fine.
