I set Live-View Shooting to "Enable" as instructed in the manual, but nothing happens when I press the shutter button. Are there any other settings I should try?

Thanks to John for the tip. Actually, what confused me was a slight difference in the way the live-view button works on my new 80D versus on my older 70D. On the 70D I can take pictures with the live-view button in either position, whereas on the 80D I can take them only with the button rotated clockwise. The counterclockwise position is for videos only.
