I have a panasonic gx85/80 m43 camera and want to remotely trigger canon flash from it. I have the yn622 trigger, but it wont even fit into the gx85 hotshoe mount. The trigger will go in half way and get stuck. I am not sure if this is a problem with the camera itself or I need to modify the trigger to fit? Does anyone have experience in successfully remotely trigger canon flashes off a panasnoic m43 camera, and what trigger(s) do you use?

Cactus V6 mark 2 triggers are becoming an increasingly more capable trigger system.
I have had brilliant results using them with multiple brand camera / flash. I have yet to experience the newest announced functionality as that firmware update is yet to be released.

The Cactus v6 looks promising, but I am already heavily invested in yn622 triggers and flashes, so would like to stay with yn if possible.

According to the link below yn622c-tx works on non-canon cameras - can anyone confirm? I also have yn685 flashes with built in yn622 triggers.

I am going to answer my own question. Got a hold of a yn 622c tx, put it on my panasonic camera, couldnt fire a flash. So it doesn't work.

Um.

I have the Panasonic G3 and GX7. I have Canon YN-622 gear: YN-622C (MkI) transceivers, a YN-685, and a YN-622C-TX. It all
works just fine for manual/remote power control; obviously no TTL/HSS. The fit in the hotshoe is tight, but I didn't have to force anything to get it to seat properly in the Panasonic hotshoe; but this is where I've read of varying experiences. I've also read that using the Nikon versions or sanding/shaving some of the plate can make it fit better, but I'd prefer not to go there.

My YN-622 combos also work the same way (fires correctly; remote manual power control) on my Fuji X100T.

So. While it didn't work for you; it does work for me.

Best option, though, is probably to wait for the MFT Godox X1 stuff to arrive. :)

I'm a woman. I shoot with a Fuji X100T, Panasonic GX-7, Canon 5DmkII, and 50D. flickr stream (external link)
