I bought a used D2H body on eBay and I keep getting Err messages on it. I did manage to take one pic in S mode.
The firmware version is 2.0.

I tried several lenses on it and get the Err message on every one of them.
I formatted a 2 GB CF card to use in it.

Is there something wrong with this camera? I'm not familiar with the D2H but have been using lots of Nikon bodies such as the D40, D40x, D50, D60, D70, D80, D200, and D300. Also D3100, D3400, D5000, and D5100.

The seller is letting me ship it back to him. These seem to be very quirky and I just don't want to deal with it any more.
I bit off more than I can chew with it. It keeps showing the Err msg.

I would have given Nikon a call first- I know there was an issue with the D2h some time ago, and Nikon issued a recall. All units were repaired, whether under warranty or not, free of charge.

I had the issue on a D2h years ago and Nikon fixed it free of charge. It was a common fault.

What exactly was the problem?
I have a issue with my D750 when first switch on after a period of 3 days or more of no use
The camera takes the shot and shutter locks with Err.I switch off remove battery and turn off then wait and turn on.This works but not really counting on this
This happen regularly
Sent it off the nikon and they did the service advisory twice (lucky me)
But I dont think it will last
