insufferably pedantic. I can live with that.

Minimal is challenging ...

Isn't it, though! Every time I've gone out this week, knowing that the topic is Minimal, the scene around me has looked incredibly cluttered and complex. In the thread for minimalism elsewhere on POTN, most images have too much going on to be truly minimal.

Herbs

EDIT: it so blends into the background that I put one of the AMASS frames around it.

Part of a very white iris, with dynamic range reduced even more than in the flower itself and desaturated by half.

That's still not as minimal as it could be.

I'm enjoying all the posts and I'm trying to get out and attempt to take pictures, but I can't seem to focus long enough to download and process anything right now.
I quit smoking last week (pack a day for 27 years) and I'm all messed up, but I'm checking in regularly and thinking about the topic.

Thanks, guys! I feel like I can do this. :-)
I just wish I had a sign on my forehead or something to explain why I'm so scattered, emotional and shaky.

You can do it! If you've never smoked you have no idea how hard it is. Sending good vibes your way.

Good for you! Just keep in mind that with the savings from what cigarettes cost these days you'll be able to afford a new 1DxII and and an EF-600 f/4 soon! :-D
