(5 edits in all) | If you want to blur your background, you will want larger apertures (smaller aperture numbers like f2.8, f4) and/or moving the subject off that backdrop. You will then want to run your lights closer so that the light falloff goes to your advantage of making the background darker and less noticeable, if that is an effect you want. If you want the backgrounds to be noticed, run the lights farther back and/or put the subjects closer, and consider lighting the backdrop separately. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery
