First adult headshot

I used my husband as my volunteer since I wanted to switch it up from my toddler. I was going for old masters Rembrandt style but it looks like I got loop lighting instead and I didn't have a lot of time. I asked him not to smile so I could just focus on the lighting. He doesn't like it, specifically the lighting and shadows but I'm pretty happy with this result.

Thoughts?

To me Rembrandt style is in more light on the face, much less light on the clothes and uneven pattern of the background with vignetting like corners.

I like it and you can post process for additional effect if desired. A b&w version should turn out very nice.

Less Rembrandt, more loop. Rembrandt has a triangle of shadow under the eye farthest from the light. Quite liking the image, but his right ear is very bright, and needs toning down. Next time, try turning the head so that the ear nearest the light isn't visible.
