It's pretty easy to just put my DSLRs down on the ground and then get down in a prone position and use them normally. . I just look through the viewfinder and use the focus points like I would if I were standing upright. . There's no need to change anything when shooting from ground level. . Everything works the same as it does when up higher, and there's no need to make any adjustments in my technique and there's no need to use an angled finder or live view or alternative focusing methods or anything like that.

The mirrorless folks could put their camera on the road and shoot up. The dSLR crowd couldn't do it.

Please don't make it sound as if conventional DSLRs can not be used at ground level, because they can be used at ground level, quite effectively.
Serious wildlife photographers and macro photographers are used to spending a lot of of time laying prone on the ground - that's how these types of photography are done. . Thousands of people in these fields have been shooting at ground level for decades and decades before Sony mirrorless cameras or flip screens even existed.
