The color is pleasant - the b/w can be interesting but the way it was processed has rendered it just a little bit dull looking IMO. I think if you adjust the brightest slider in levels or in your RAW file that will snap it up and give it some more punch. That may sound a bit picky, but I've created images with this same tonality and soon was not happy with the result. Revisiting the file came resulted in a better image;-)a.

Yes, 100% better - really perks thinks up and looks like the sunny day it is. No disrespect intended but the other was a bit reminiscent of my film days when I was careless taking a long roll of film out of the camera and would slightly fog a few frames. I think it gives more definition to the coach body also.

The colour version is so much better. In this case you have a complementary and harmonious colour palette: so, no distraction due to colours breaking the harmony. The colour image is also more evocative, I find it even soothing: I want to keep looking at it; whereas the monocrome is just 'meh' to me.

The monochrome versions blend the car with its surroundings and just look like a mass of grey, regardless of the overall image brightness. In order for subjects to stand out in monochrome, they must be quite different in tone from their surroundings. Unfortunately, because in this image the main subject shares the same colours with everything else (green and cyan), no amount of tinkering with the colour channels will make it look different. You'd have to change the colour of the car (say, to red) and then do the black & white conversion and channel adjusting.

Also, in monochrome conversions, it's useful to jack up the contrast more than we'd do in colour versions.

Nice car, and nice image. 8-)

Color for me. Next time watch your framing and composition and don't crop the tires. :D

You may want to try some aging effects for the B&W, to look like a 20s era photo. Just a thought.
