Hi all

I've bought myself some Godox flashes and X1 and took my Lab into the local nature reserve for some photo's. Here are my first attempts of OCF.......

#2 is awesome. I think the depth of field could be a bit deeper to make Jude fully sharp.

I find the blur in the background of #1 hard to look at..looks too artificial. There's an outline around the pup too.

#2 for me, too, but I'd rather see more Jude & less landscape. Maybe take some off the top & right side.

I am going to say the opposite and go with #1.

I think that you captured Jude more like a person then a wildlife shot. Getting him off of the background with good bokeh and separation.

Good hairlight in both.

I am not a pet photographer, so my opinion is apparently different.

Ditto on photosGuy's crop suggestion.
