Lovely shots! I like the Haystack rock shot.

Here is my take on it, from the other side.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Great catch. I went to your flickr site as well and enjoyed your photo stream. I also am following you.

Glad this thread came up. We're heading to Portland in a few weeks and I'll have a few days by myself while Wifey attends her conference. I plan on a day trip to Mt. St. Helens, but otherwise the coast looks like a very cool place to visit on another free day. Columbia River Gorge is also a possibility.

There are plenty of great and beautiful places all over! The stuff you mentioned, and the list goes on!!!

The Japanese Garden as well should be high on your list. We had a blast there.

Yeah, Wifey wants me to save that for a non-conference day so she can see it.

Multnohma Falls and Horsetail Falls is a short drive outside of town. The Crown Point is pretty close as well. I wish I would have researched it a little more to see more things. We ended up staying at Cannon Beach for three days which I wouldn't have given up for anything. Hope you have a good trip.

Thanks. Multnohma Falls is a must. I'm going to be making up a list before we go. I just hope the weather is decent.

Very nice, I'm heading up there next week, cannot wait! Cannon Beach, and then Portland. We just love it up there.

I'm mainly here for the snacks

You picked a good week. Weather is expected to be sunny all week.
