WTB: Backdrops

Im looking for backgrounds that I can use for portrait shots for a reasonable price. So if you have any that are just collecting dust shoot me a PM with type and price.

Since you haven't gotten any bites, a couple alternatives...

What is a "reasonable price"

I got a Cowboy Studios black and a white 9x15 muslin backdrop with stands from Amazon. This is a decent stand and decent backgrounds. The current price on Amazon is $67 including shipping. Amazon also sells things which get returned at a discount from Amazon Wharehouse. I wanted the cloth for another purpose and found this set for $32 shipped. To me, this represents a pretty good deal at a moderate quality level. You probably won't find anyone here who can ship you two muslins and stands for so little, if this meets your needs.

These backgrounds are hand painted (in the US no less) and, used correctly, you would be hard pressed to know the difference between these and some of the most prestigious backgrounds. About $230 for a 10x12 with no stands. They have decent specials and you can often get free shipping, bringing the 10x12 under $200.

I dont need stands just backdrops. I have a white, black and grey tie dye cloth backdrops. Thanks I will check out silverlake out

There are several ways locally to get material for DIY backdrops.

- Use abstract patterned wall paper rolls. You can put two runs together to make a wider backdrop. Make sure to pull your subject off the backdrop to allow that backdrop to go blurry a bit. You can get solid colors too, and run some bright lights onto that backdrop to create bright spots for interesting effects.
