I just got married two weeks ago. I went with a local wedding studio to get engagement photos and the package I got came with two photo books. The photo books actual look very nice with a "crystal" cover, thick pages, great color. When I got the books about a month ago (before the wedding), I didn't notice anything was wrong. Things were busy and I left the books at my folks place so they could flip through it.

Fast forward to the present, I'm flipping through the smaller of the two books and find bubbles on every page of the first half of the book. It looks like the laminated surface is separating from the actual print underneath. They are of varying sizes from each page, but they occur on the same location on every page (and the corresponding spot of the facing page, meaning the bubbles on page 2 and 3 would touch each other when the book is closed). For the small bubbles, I was actually able to squeegee it out like bubbles under a phone's screen protector.

I'm going to contact the photo studio where we bought the books, but is there a way to fix this? Or prevent it from happening again? The books have been kept in their cardboard box when it wasn't being used.

I know each studio is different, but is it the studio's responsibility to replace/fix it? I don't recall seeing the bubbles when I first flipped through the book and took them home. I know the studio uses Adorama for several of its prints, but I don't know if Adorama offers photo books with crystal covers, so I can't say for sure where these books were actually printed.

That's an interesting question. You purchased from a studio, and they use Adorama. I tried looking on Adorama's site and yes they do sell albums. Have a look Here (external link) to see if you spot yours. If so I'd first contact the studio and let them know. They may have some means to correct this for you. I also tried to find something on Adorama's site concerning any warranty for defects, and could not.

Yours sounds like a fairly inexpensive album.

You should contact the studio - and if it is one of ours, we will replace it
