The "Mini-Beercan" was the second lens I bought to use with a LA-EA2 adapter on my Nex-6, and I have a love/hate relationship with it.
Pros: Beautiful Minolta colors. Sharp, if you nail the focus. One of the smallest zooms around even three decades later.
Cons: for some reason, I have a lower focus keeper ratio with this Mini-Beercan vs the 70-210/4 Beercan. It may be that particular lens, but it seems to miss focus just a tad more often, especially on moving subjects. I think the focusing may be just a little slow. It's also more prone to flare and loss of contrast. The bokeh is not very impressive, even at 70mm. Finally, 35-70 is really a limited range on an APS-C body, which is my main complaint.
When it nails focus and doesn't flare, it's a fantastic performer, as sharp as any modern lens but with (in my subjective opinion) superior color.
