Had some fun with High Speed Sync on my Photo Walk Lighting Workshop. Here's a shot I took.
Canon 5D Mark III and Sigma 85mm Art lens
f/1.4 - 1/6400 - ISO 100
Flash: Neewer 600BM in a 48inch Octobox at Full Power.

Awesome shots and the video rocks!

In the video, how are you doing the 3d effects when displaying the photos.....where the model seems motionless but the background is moving behind her? Amazing effect!

Saw on youtube, very nice shots and loved the video. But should mention that killing ambient is pretty late in the day. I got XPLOR600s and it is hard in day time to do same IMHO. Going to get that 1200ws extension head and see what that does.

Well if you place the strobe 6" away from subject it's rather easy

Not with a softbox. I tried, it only gives you f11, ISO100, 1/200 to match the sun. This at full power, just a hair under max sync speed. I don't think these lights are actual 600ws but I haven't spent time to test against my Einsteins.

A few years ago I didn't like using lighting. After my mentor got me going on it, I like it very much. In the video, I didn't like the shots as much where the reflector was added behind, but my thoughts could change after reviewing and letting the idea simmer.
