Her eyes should be black.

I like it, but find it just a little too dark for my taste.

Looking at the tree trunk there are 2 definite eye patterns and a downturned mouth, I would have lightened these a little to make them slightly more prominent although not too much or they would detract the viewers eye away from the girl.

"Edit"

I have now looked at on Flickr and it looks much better than on here, nowhere near as dark and a much better range of tones but the girl could be a bit sharper.

It certainly has got something because I have to keep going back for another look.

While you did BRIGHTEN the eyes [which doesn't add anything to the intended mood], you forgot the rest. I would put on a Levels layer on and drag the whites a bit - they could be more prominent.

I feel, some slight sepia/old filter? Delete it. From your computer. From your life. Or you will drop an ice-cream next time.

What do you mean filter? I didn't add any sepia..turned pic into b&w using Lightroom and added a lot of contrast. Can you explain what to do with eyes more?

Thanks

My bad. It just looked like some kind of preset-ish thing. Scratch that remark of mine, mate :]

On those eyes - I meant to do less, not more.

Interesting photo. I would play a bit with the lighting on the girl.
The doll is brighter than the girl and I find this a bit distracting.
