That time of year, Peonies blooming.

Yesterday noticed my Peonies were starting to bloom, so I grabbed my el-cheapo Canon 100mm (non-IS) macro. I was shooting for an artsy look. These were all natural light shots, taken at the worst time of day, around noon. I did use a diffuser, (5-1 reflector kit) to soften the harsh sunlight. In one of the shots I used m poor-man reflector(aluminum foil on cardboard) to kick some light into the center.

Thank you. After viewing a B&H Event Space video, where Arthur Morris and Denise Ioppolito described and demonstrated flower shots making them art, I decided to give it try.

Until your mention, I had never heard of Georgia O'Keefe. After a quick research, and yes I guess those do resemble her large flower works. Thank you.
