Ok, no response in Critique Corner, so I'll post here.

These were shot last night during a practical in my Studio Portrait course. C&C please...

I think these are very nice shots. Very good lighting in #1 - I like the way you kept the reflection of the lights off her glasses. #2 could use a little more light on the face, but if this is what you were going for..... it works. I also love the rim light on the hair. Both 3 and 4 are also very good. Nice lighting overall and very good composition.

all the shots look really nice. beautiful model. #1,2, and 4 are nicely done. IMHO the 3rd one is a bit OOF plus if she smiled a bit more it would accent the photo nicer.

just my 2 cents :)

Nice lighting and your model has very captivating eyes that you captured well. I love the second one. The lighting and her expression/pose create a mysetrious mood. I like that.

All are quite good, but #1 is outstanding IMO. I don't care for the strong backlight in #2. But they are all very good. Nice work, pretty model.

Thanks for all the comments guys much appreciated. #2 is my personal favourite, and the darker, low-key effect was what I was after to highlight THOSE eyes, I might however bring up to brightness on her face just that little bot. This girl is actually the daughter of the guy that's conducting the course I'm doing.

Next week we have a professional model to shoot so I'm hoping for similarly good if not better results.

The model is a real cutie. The poses are good, and the lighting is good. But because these are all a bit underexposed, these shots all need a bit more brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness adjustments with photoshop. I would also warm up the white balance a little more to give the photos a nicer skintone.

Nice work, just needs a bit of post processing.
