May 09, 2017 09:23 | #3 on board stereo is fine for my needs. I prefer stereo sound and for travel I want it to simply record in camera. Otherwise I would use my Tascam DR60D. This is for a trip we are doing and would prefer smaller option "if" possible. With that in mind, sony bodies dont pick up IS noise, and dont pick up AF noise, even canon USM lenses. Try an A7rii for video, it's pretty darn amazing for that task. Downside is that it's a stereo mic, and I really dont care for stereo mics, I would rather have directional. Rode is small as is, you can try phone mics to see if you can adapt something like this should work and probably wont pick up the noise: https://www.amazon.com …3&keywords=smartphone+mic Which is why I want the A9. Aside from ergonomics it's the perfect camera. They fixed alot of my issues. We'll see.... They have the native 85 that is a good performer or I can just us an adapter. I don't need speed shooting the 85. A7rIII | A7III | 12-24 F4 | 16-35 GM | 28-75 2.8 | 100-400 GM | 12mm 2.8 Fisheye | 35mm 2.8 | 85mm 1.8 | 35A | 85A | 200mm L F2 IS | MC-11
