Different kind of edit

Thoughts here?

Great shot, apart from that towel on the left.
Definitely don't like the strange tone and lack of contrast, if it's a black dog then it should be black.

Wow, the more i look at it, the more i like the image.

I do like the tones, i like how you have an image already with the dog on the floor. Then when you look through the image you either see the towl that compliments the kid, or you see the kid and that gives reason for the towel.

You should also add this to the family photojournalism section of the forums.

I'd probably crop the left and the right a bit since you have good framing there to crop to (the tiled walls). The story is the juxtaposition of the dog and the child, so all else is distracting to me. The liberties you took with the color make it a bit creepy, which I for one, generally like.

Agree, but I don't care for the tone. Personal preference. I see the reason for blue-ish, IDK.

But yea, it's good IMO.

I feel sad I can't see doggo's eyes.

Second is way better image overall and due to disappearance of huge logo in particular.

The color cast, logo and towel are subjective cosmetic issues IMO, and don't interest me in the least. I think both images could have been improved by bumping ISO up in order to use a faster shutter speed. Between the two, I prefer the perspective and framing of the first image, and how that impacts the interrelation between the dog and the child.

I am also leaning toward the first image with a bit more cropped off the right.

Interesting point, but this raises a new question--- when asking about an edit why does "logo" come into play? Having both photos stolen and published I feel the need to watermark my images. Can't people look past the watermark?

Only asking. No trying to be combative.

Your logo will be no hindrance if someone whats the image. So easy to remove in PP.

I agree, that towel is distracting!

The first edit is a bit instagramy but not obnotious. Its a cool shot so its ok. When the edit is trying to make up for a bad shot it bad
