I've been enjoying LR6 for a few months but something that annoys me is that I can't find a way to scroll through the WB (auto, daylight, etc) or the Picture Styles (Adobe standard, landscape, etc).

Is there a short cut key for scrolling through that I've missed or does it require clicking on each selection?

You have to shoot raw to get access to the different Canon WB settings. When shooting JPG, there is no access to anything but 'as shot' and 'custom'. Lightroom has never used Canon Picture styles. DPP allow access to Picture Styles.

I am shooting RAW. For any of the LR6 sliders I can click the slider and use my mouse wheel to adjust it. I think the + and - buttons work too. But for WB and picture styles it is a drop down and I have to click each selection vs being able to scroll through.

Maybe it's not called picture styles, sorry not on my PC, but it's towards the bottom. It has Adobe standard, landscape, portrait, natural, etc...

I believe WB is only available in the drop-down box. You can use <CTRL+/> to see all available develop module keyboard shortcuts. "W" works for WB, but only brings up the 'eye-dropper' for Custom.

I looked for the 'picture styles' thing (I've seen Adobe before), but can't seem to find it. Post a more specific name when you get a chance.

I have not understood why folks can find digital forums, but the same folks can't use Google to find web information, like Lightroom 6 shortcuts?! I just found this (but I am not an LR6 user)

I can only agree. Just Google it!

It's a whole lot quicker than trying to wake up POTN members to point you to the same place. And it doesn't put upon anybody's time except your own.

Yes I've seen this link before in my Googling but I don't see where it says a shortcut for toggling through the WB options or the "picture styles" without clicking each one individually, or maybe I'm missing it.

I have but it doesn't answer my questions, hence my post.

Sorry, I wrongly thought the question was thrown on the forum without having done prior investigation.
In looking embedded EXIF information, it does not appear to be a field with that information found within the EXIF...DPP must pick up that information from some proprietary internal 'coding' that Canon understands?!

Wilt said the same thing, but one of the forum rules does say:

"If you know an answer to a question either answer it or say nothing. Giving newbies blunt answers like "search the forum" is not allowed - please use the typing effort to giving the answer instead. Or just give the link to that post you wished the newbie should have searched for. Respect newbies - you were a newbie once."

I am very aware of this because once years ago I just referred someone to Google and was reproached for it by a POTN mod (which really hurt).

But I do agree that in most cases, whether it's a question about photography or anything else, Google instantly comes up with multiple answers, so that's usually my own first choice.

In that quote, "Or just give the link to that post"

After my rhetorical question, I provided the link: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/keyboard-shortcuts/lrcc6/ (external link)

OK ... I agree ... we should try to be helpful. But we are nevertheless entitled to (slightly) resent just getting used as a quick, cheap and easy way to get hold of basic information that is readily available in the public domain.

'Google first ... ask POTN next ... and hopefully (since you already Googled) pose a more interesting and informed question'.

Jeez, tough crowd over here in this forum. Sorry for getting you all wound up. Yes I googled it but couldn't find my answer so posted here.

I should have used a better name for my topic since most don't read past that and should have clearly identified that I already googled.

I thought I explained in my first and third posts what it was that I was trying to do but apparently not.

Just giving you an update. It's called Profile and it's under Camera Calibration at the bottom of the develop tabs. Under profile it lists Adobe Standard, Camera Faithful, Camera Landscape, etc. It is a drop down menu similar to the WB options. I can't find a way to easily scroll through the options other than individually clicking each one.

Found 'em! Thanks. I had no idea LR could do that. Never noticed it. BTW, looks like drop-down menu is the only choice.

I tried them on one shot. They don't seem to make near as much difference in LR as they do in DPP.
