The Mother of these babies is herself but a baby, she is one year old. Her Dad was hit by a car last summer, and she is the last kit from last year's litter to remain in the area. She has assumed ownerhip of the den shere she was born, and her babies are just now starting to show themselves. This site has been home to fox families for at least 6 years in a row.

Thanks Jeff. It will be curious to see how it goes this summer. The golf course where they live has been finally opened to the public. Up until now it has just been under development. It will be interesting to see how the babies react to the increased foot traffic.

Cycle of life definitely continues. She makes beautiful babies. How many did you see? Two?

Hi, I saw three, but apparently there are five babies altogether. They are just now getting comfortable enough to come out of the den.

I'm sure you'll update us when all are out and about. She seems to be doing a great job. The kits look healthy.

I will indeed. I went to the den today and saw all five babies out, but as soon as they saw me they headed back underground. They're still a bit shy. A bit later though I got more like these.

And Mom taking a brief nap. It's hard work raising 5 kits!

Wonderful images and thanks for sharing! Keep us posted on how they do with the golf course opening up.
I'm curious what they will do to adapt.

Thanks, I'm curious what they will do too. Today I went to the den and the shy Dad was there. He barked a stern warning and the babies all retreated into the den to stay for a while.
