While photographing some Eagles/Eaglets, I just happened to take my eye away from the viewfinder and this guy is paddling by. Had camera/lens setup for a considerable distance away, and different lighting so I quickly changed and managed to grab a frame. Not the best, but the first time I've had any chance, and really first time seeing one, that wasn't hiding in tall grasses.

Can't say 100% without seeing the tail, but that looks like a Beaver, to me. River Otter have more narrow head/snout and their ears aren't as...floppy, and far back.

Fun find, either way!
