Pileated Woodpecker paid a visit

Rare so and so shot of a Pileated woodpecker who paid a visit,it was raining and dark out so Happy to get a pic but wish i would have had some light to work with..

They are rather rare here and are very skittish.

So a bad shot is better than none.:-(

Hi Ronnie,well we live in the deep woods and hear them often but rarely see them,when we do they fly off as soon as they see or hear us..And this one was right on our property shot from the deck.
I did get a minute of video which turned out alot better.:-)
