Western Meadowlark for CaptBob

This one's for you, Bob. Two years ago, on a spring trip to SW Manitoba, I got a shot like this of a Western Meadowlark. This year, we went back to the same spot and there he was again; it might well be the same bird. There is no sound like the flute-like song of the Western Meadowlark to remind one of the prairies.

That is gorgeous! I grew up next to an alfalfa field, and loved watching the Eastern Meadowlarks. Their nests are amazing too.
