Your exposure looks great. Some might argue that the critter gets lost in the black background. However, I think it's a stylistic choice here and well done. Print it and hang it on a wall. However, to do that, you'll need more room on the edges. Maybe less on the bottom. Joe

DaviSto ... sorry. I got carried away! More info Post edited over 6 years ago by DaviSto. | May 28, 2017 08:10 | #3 I think it's a really good capture of a handsome animal. I like the use of a black background myself. I think it helps draw attention to the face and to the texture of the coat. David.

rrblint Listen! .... do you smell something? More info | May 28, 2017 13:13 | #6 Kudos for getting the exposure spot-on! I know the meter said something entirely different. Only criticism is that it's too tight on the face. Beautiful dog BTW. Mark

Once again thank you for the replies....... ![]() I didn't see the original, but like the lighting on this one, especially with the bit of light on his ears to separate him from the background. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

Thanks for the comments, point taken with f16. I could have pushed him to right side a bit more though it's quite difficult to see that much detail on the back of the LCD.
