I had a great time shooting an engagement session for this adventurous couple. They are usually outdoors hiking, caving, bouldering, or kayaking during their downtime and love bringing their dogs along for the adventure. They were truly a joy to shoot! Of course, the first thing that had to go were the shoes! At one time I ended up in the creek about chest deep to get the shot. I’m just learning, so I have a long way to go, but I guess it’s all good because they love the photos. Here’s a few.

I think you did a great job at capturing them. I'm not a fan of the color/tone/WB of the images that was most likely added in post though. I favor more traditional warm or cooler tones rather than the greenish color balance here, but again that's my personal preference. My editing style is a bit....vanilla.

I would also think it'd be better to have more consistency in term of exposure from image to image, some are much brighter than others with many details overexposed, but that may just be your style so personal preference once again comes into play.

I appreciate your feedback. The exposure thing kind of got me on this one! I was set on Aperture priority because of the mix of sun and clouds constantly changing the lighting. It began to rain just after we finished. I think I’ll just go full manual the next time. What would you suggest? I’m open to any recommendations.
thanks again,
-will

These are fun and lively. I'm just not sure why the fella is wearing sunglasses in these? Seems odd for engagement style shots.

I don’t know either, but that’s what they wanted.
