The photos definitely exhibit the Zeiss tendency to NOT optimize for pretty out-of-focus highlights, but to consider other image parameters as more important. Both Photo 2 in post 1 and also the photo in post 3 are especially 'jarring' for my tastes.

I am really enjoying it but only have one lens. I have a 24-70 g-master coming in any moment though. Looking forward to seeing how the larger lens balances with the body

Got the 24-70 G-Master in today. It's been nasty and raining, so I tried out the Sony IBIS.

Went outside in the sweaty, gross humidity to let my dog do his business. Decided to take my camera for some reason. Well immediately the lens fogged all up. A HUGE clap of thunder went off. He took off running for the back door. There are some cut branches on my patio and he leaped over them. Right then I got the shot. Edited the lens fog out as much as I could, turned it B&W, and now I absolutely love the shot. I was trying to focus on him face but I love how it turned out. Sometimes it's better to get lucky than be skilled.

Looks out of focus, or the fogging of the lens is showing. Only his right front paw is sharp.

If the camera AF is tracking the closest object in the frame, it seems to be doing that job quite well!
