Some very nice shots! Man,... you can see the difference the G-Master glass makes in these shots. Like night-n-day in some of these shots. Can't say Sony is crippled by the lack of glass any more,... that's for sure. This a9 seems to be an awesome sports and action option. I'm thinkin' Sony's gonna have this segment locked-n-tucked by the time they reach gen 2 with this body. They need longer & faster glass tho, and I think they're prolly working on that this very moment. The 100-400 is just the 1st step in that direction, but it needs to be faster and constant,... at least f/4. But long primes also. Nicely done Sony,... nicely done! Amazing shots guys!

Yes it certainly looks like Sony is doing a lot of things right and the a9 is such a great body all around.

Really nice! What are your thoughts on the 12-24? I'm interested in the lens but am iffy about whether I should get that or a 16-35 of some sort. When I owned the Laowa 12mm and the Sigma 12mm briefly, I found 12mm to have very limited use.

I love the FL and I love this lens...12mm is really cool for extreme landscapes while hiking, it's really nice at night in an urban areas as well.
Those are 2 things I shoot a lot of and this lens doesn't disappoint. If we ever get any clouds again with some wind I'm sure this lens will look very dramatic

It's sharp, it's pretty small and light and it makes cool sun-stars...
But you do have to be careful with the flare...

The GM might have it beat there and I'm sure the GM will be an amazing lens as most all the GM's are...Guess we'll see. But for me, having 12-15mm available on a sharp zoom is awesome.
I won't be needing the GM, the Ultra-wide was what I was waiting for.

It certainly does,... trust me, I'm looking hard. I think it's a little easier for Canon folk to wonder over to Sony than Nikon folk like myself. I understand Nikon glass doesn't wanna behave themselves as well as Canon glass with the current lot of adapters. Probably end up waiting to see what Nikon will do in response,... if they respond at all. Their D850 announcement last week was a joke announcement,... I'm sick of it. Just wished I wasn't so heavily invested.

Keep shooting guys,... amazing looks!

Just amazing shot after amazing shot. My A9 arrives today. I'm coming back to the Sony family after leaving it for Nikon a while back. Debated on the A7RII or the A9, went with the A9 instead and will likely pick up the A7RII used later on for the higher megapixels but your shots are not making me regret the decision to go with the A9 at all.

Plan on grabbing the 85mm GM (prefer it over the Batis / Sony FE 85mm 1.8 and can get it at near the same cost as the Batis) and then the FE 55mm 1.8.

After that, I'll decide what other lenses i want to round out the kit.

I look forward to more of your pictures, they are excellent!

took the a9 out last week for its first real shoot...
oddly, it seemed to be more affected by the color cast of my filters than the A7R2.
