Two More Prairie Birds

Perhaps not strictly of the prairies, but that's where I found them, in SW Manitoba. White-faced Ibis seem so much more tropical and out of place up there, but they have been increasing in numbers over the last 15 years or so. And Black-crowned Night Herons have foiled my attempts at a good photo until this dude dropped his guard. We don't have them at home, so I've been wanting a good photo of one for quite a while.

Surprised the Ibis makes it that far north. Climate change?

Thanks, Bob. I've always liked night herons too, but I don't get to see a lot of them. SW Manitoba is interesting in that they regularly have Great, Cattle, and even Snowy Egrets in summer, birds I much more identify with your area.
