Thinking about buying a 80D.....

42nd Street seems to have the best price, but they're apparently pretty sketchy. Anyone know of a good deal on a new 80D body right now?

CanonPriceWatch has a "street price" of $989.99. They are very reputable and have arrangements with a number of authorized Canon retailers. They also often show "grey market" prices, but I don't personally use those. I have used CPW myself several times over the past few years.

Abe's odF Maine has a pretty sketchy reputation, they have "Body Only" for $859 but I've read that could mean no battery, no charger or SD card. Going to call them and detail what "Body Only" really means


Later, same day: "Body Only" means just that, no manual, software, battery or charger. Retail version is on sale for $999 Canaan USA version.

The refurbished 80D has not been available from that site since mid May, according to Ashley at the site or I would have bought it on the spot. They won't say when more are expected either. Said to check the site daily ߘ
