From last month's trip to Yellowstone:

This yearling wolf left his pack and stuck his nose into the carcass of another pack, and got the crap beat out of him. Here he is licking his wounds and trying to convince the ravens that he's not dead yet:

There were a heck of a lot of coyotes around this visit. This guy was most photogenic.

Nice shots,The last I heard via Facebook was that the Black Wolf was hurt pretty bad but did survive and is recovering.
Nature is rough.
