Im using Photoshop to resize my photos via "Image > Image Size" but i was just looking through some shots i posted and I noticed what is either pixelation or anti-aliasing but when I have it at full size and zoom out I dont see it.

1) what could i be doing wrong?

2) any advice for resizing?

Are the photos you're posting original size, or are they being resized down in the website you're posting to? Hard to say without examples. Images can appear to be pixelated in certain image viewers: especially if they're drastically having to resize. Though it could be a separate matter if you view the image you've exported, and it always looks pixelated. Then it could be the way you're exporting (perhaps compressing too much to introduce artifacts).

not original size when i post them to the website. i resize them in photoshop to about 16.7% of original size so that the file size is smaller and then save as a JPEG on maximum quality with baseline(standard).

Mostly my flickr and on here. I've since deleted the pics from flickr and uploaded full size.

It's still unclear to me. When you are viewing on the website, is it 100% of the image resolution you exported from Photoshop? If the website is resizing the exported jpeg, I've found different browsers and how the images are being handled on the website can all have some effect with how the image looks. You say you save jpegs at maximum quality, so there's no image artifacts coming from your file. I'll export to save a jpeg (save for web has a good viewer for seeing how much compression you can add without introducing artifacts).

Just for fun, i checked it on my iphone and the photos dont look so bad. Im wondering if maybe my monitors might be making it look like they are worse than I think.

If you want you can check out my flickr and see for yourself.

Remember that when posting to Flickr especially it resizes your images into a whole load of different sizes. You can never be quite sure which version you are looking at on the site. When you share the image, for example to POTN you also have to make sure that you have chosen the correct size. If you upload images that match one of Flickr's resolution options it is not just that you must select the right pixel dimensions, to get the original image back you need to select original, from the list of sizes.

(Off topic) One other thing that I really dislike about Flickr is that when they create all of those other sized images they strip ALL of the EXIF/IPTC data from the file, including your copyright notice if you have set one, in order to save space. I don't mind the rest, but the copyright notice is important from a legal point of view.(/off topic)

That is in addition to any image resizing the the browser or OS might be doing. You might even have both the browser and the OS resizing the images at the same time even, if you are using a UHD monitor.

What is the actual size of the uploaded images in pixels? i.e. 1200px x 800px

Interesting thread. I have noticed my 5D4 is showing more jaggies at 1024 (my normal posting size) than my 5D3 did and my 7D2 does. I have tried a few things but didn't get anywhere. Gonna follow this one.

DPI which is really PPI has nothing to do with screen resolution. You can set it at 1 or 1000 and it won't make a difference.
