50th anniversary... how many pics

So how many pics do you guys generally deliver for an anniversary party, public venue, about 3 hours of my time. I've never done this before, I'm doing it for a colleague who's hire got sick.

I do product photography for a living, with the occasional corporate headshots and events within my company, so I don't really have a clue about the number of images I would need to deliver - any advice is appreciated. This is a paid gig.

I've documented a huge 50th Anniversary party and I've never thought one second about how many photos I should take. I typically go in the "zone" and just document to story tell.

I think it's entirely up to you what you do and how many photos you take. Your simply documenting a memorable celebration!!

Just assure you have plenty of memory, batteries and document cadid moments too!!

I've always provided huge group shots. This photo is just one of them that night! Try to capture as many people as possible as life is short and people leave the world. Document and story tell!!

Thanks Alan - that was my thinking, just give all my best shots, and not worry about the 'numbers'. Documentary style is a good angle as well.
