Mama common merganser with chicks at a nearby (well, okay, about 35 miles...) park this afternoon... She has quite a brood! I did manage to get some shots of her with 2 or 3 of the little ones on her back - they're so big now that that's about all that will fit!

Very Good images. I have only seen mallard hens and ducklings, so these merganser images are a treat.
