Jun 09, 2017 11:03 | #12 while it's bigger, it's only 175g more for 1 stop of light through the entire range. I think that's bearable and worth it. I'll certainly upgrade to the 2.8 when sony's version comes out, and I'll have to pay the sony premium on top of that Sony A7siii/A7iv/ZV-1 - FE 24/1.4 - SY 24/2.8 - FE 35/2.8 - FE 50/1.8 - FE 85/1.8 - F 600/5.6 - CZ 100-300 - Tamron 17-28/2.8 - 28-75/2.8 - 28-200 RXD

Jun 09, 2017 14:38 | #13 its a monster but It replaces two lenses: 16-35L f4 IS and 14L II and gives me more flexibility for shooting milkway. previously I was using 14mm and the wide end on my 24-70L II and I've always felt I wanted something in between. also, since the 14 couldn't take filters it was not used as often as I would have liked. http://instagram.com/edraderphotography/

umphotography grabbing their Johnson More info | Jun 09, 2017 15:23 | #14 Im probably going to add the 16-35 F4. I think I can get away with it with the new sensors. Especially for weddings. I have zero issues with F4. 12800 is very clean on the 1Dx2 Mike

edrader THREAD STARTER "I am not the final word" More info Post edited over 6 years ago by ed rader. (2 edits in all) | it's an awesome lens. the only reason to get the III is the extra stop and I do love IS on my WA for handheld landscapes but like you said i'm much more confident these days shooting at higher ISOs. in fact setting your camera to auto ISO and minimum shutter speed to say 1/125s is like having IS, imo. http://instagram.com/edraderphotography/
