I have an excellent sig professor!!
And it is reproducible and a few clicks and I can change everything!

Never posted this waterfall from the Iceland trip because of the time I thought it would take to clone our
the ONE THOUSAND people where were STANDING forever. I know the trick of 20-30 shots and then average
them out but no one was moving :(

Yep, bored and time-shifting (and playing with sigs :)
I spose it's a good thing bringing back thousands of files---for times when I have nothing better to do.
Plus, like Gene I like tinkering in the processing as much as the taking.

It's good for me too to to back and reflect. I'd forgotten 5 days on a zodiac hunting the tooth-walkers...constant fear of something
going way wrong in those deadly cold waters.

So, too much open space to the right in this pic?

Thanks for sharing their lies.

I also have my friends son. He's now into the Army but he said all what his recruiters told him were lies.

Yeah. Selfishly if my kids wanted to serve in the armed forces, I'd want them in the Airforce or Navy. A buddy of mine operates UAV missions out of Vegas. Not a bad gig.

Magbounce and gels arrived today...shot right, I think you could do interiors with one frame with this thing, it really looks great, especially if you put the grid in first...great soft freakin light...I will be testing it once the bathroom reno is done...shoot it and the guest room we did last year...

Yeah that magbounce is cool for softer directional light. The grid helps cut light spill too. Really cool that you can stack all those modifiers. I want that magsphere too. Looking back at our photos, I think it did a better job contending with the glass room from hell than the magbounce did.

IT gets a little top heavy on the Godox, and it doesn't like that, it wants to make the head move more than it should...
The Sphere did ok with the glass room...it just showed up on the wall behind the subject a lot sometimes. That room was just hard to work. I would be really keen to see what other photogs have been able to do in there.

Actually I remember I used the flashbender in that room. Either way, it threw too hard of a light at the windows which created hard reflections, whereas the sphere seemed to have a more even lighting.

Whereabouts are these coyotes that you've been photographing? I used to live in Stockton and spent many a day on the Delta.

I live in Stockton and have spent many weekends boating the Dirty D. Nowadays, most coyotes are found in the vineyards of Lodi chasing small rodents. How long ago did you live in Stockton? I'm guessing you were based at Ruff and Ready?

I lived in Stockton from 1976 to 1980. We had rented houseboats on the delta with friends before moving there so I was familiar with the area and what drew us to move there. The last year I lived there, I lived on my 33 foot, 1945 Stephens Sedan Cruiser which I kept at the Lincoln Village Marina. I was never stationed there, I spent two years at Pearl Harbor, Hi and then a year and a half aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany.

I don't have a photo of my boat but here's one that's very similar.

ok...so for those that do video with these a7/9 bodies...does face detection work in video...what would be the best way to make sure that the face is what the camera follows...if there is no one behind the camera working it...I am about to start a project that will entail some video instruction and I won't have a camera operator....also need to find a wireless mic option...

I don't know if face recognition works for video but here is what I use as a wireless mic. I already had a lavalier mic which I can plug into the Sony mic and use it instead of the larger mic it plugs into.

Here's a quick test I did with the Sony set above for how far away I could be from the camera. You can see the lavalier mic I had plugged into the Sony wireless mic and everything is exposed since I didn't take the time to conceal the cord or mic.

I don't recall which lens I used for this video but AF seemed to work just fine up close but then snaps to the background as I walk across the street.

sounds good Gene. Didn't you have to do audio editing? Also with that, you don't need to sync right? it will turn off the camera's built-in mic?

What caused the audio to be slightly off with the video?
