Yeah. Selfishly if my kids wanted to serve in the armed forces, I'd want them in the Airforce or Navy. A buddy of mine operates UAV missions out of Vegas. Not a bad gig. focalpointsphoto.com

Yeah that magbounce is cool for softer directional light. The grid helps cut light spill too. Really cool that you can stack all those modifiers. I want that magsphere too. Looking back at our photos, I think it did a better job contending with the glass room from hell than the magbounce did. focalpointsphoto.com

IT gets a little top heavy on the Godox, and it doesn't like that, it wants to make the head move more than it should... Website

The Sphere did ok with the glass room...it just showed up on the wall behind the subject a lot sometimes. That room was just hard to work. I would be really keen to see what other photogs have been able to do in there. Actually I remember I used the flashbender in that room. Either way, it threw too hard of a light at the windows which created hard reflections, whereas the sphere seemed to have a more even lighting. focalpointsphoto.com

I used to live in Stockton and spent many a day on the Delta. I live in Stockton and have spent many weekends boating the Dirty D. Nowadays, most coyotes are found in the vineyards of Lodi chasing small rodents. How long ago did you live in Stockton? I'm guessing you were based at Ruff and Ready?

I lived in Stockton from 1976 to 1980. We had rented houseboats on the delta with friends before moving there so I was familiar with the area and what drew us to move there. The last year I lived there, I lived on my 33 foot, 1945 Stephens Sedan Cruiser which I kept at the Lincoln Village Marina. I was never stationed there, I spent two years at Pearl Harbor, Hi and then a year and a half aboard the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany. I don't know if face recognition works for video but here is what I use as a wireless mic. I already had a lavalier mic which I can plug into the Sony mic and use it instead of the larger mic it plugs into. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/Sp8wC6Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

You can see the lavalier mic I had plugged into the Sony wireless mic and everything is exposed since I didn't take the time to conceal the cord or mic. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

I don't recall which lens I used for this video but AF seemed to work just fine up close but then snaps to the background as I walk across the street. sounds good Gene. Didn't you have to do audio editing? Also with that, you don't need to sync right? it will turn off the camera's built-in mic? | SONY A7SIII(2) | A73 | A6000 | Sony A7IV | Sigma105 | FE1635F4 | Tamron 70-180mm F2.8 | Tamron 17-28 Tamron 28-75 | FE50F1.8 | Sony 16035F4PZ | SEL30mm F3.5 Macro | Canon 24mm TSE | Laowa 15mm Shift
