I've been busy editing two recent architecture shoots for a client. Here is a gallery for the first shoot I completed. It's a local bar located in downtown SATX. Very tricky lighting so I did the best I could. I'm thinking for small venues like this I will start adding a speedlight to do some flash ambient mixing. Thanks for taking a look.

Great work Alfredo! A real pleasure viewing those.

Nice job Alfredo. My only nit is the people in some of the scenes. I would think it best to either have no people in the images or a 'packed house'. To my eye, it looks like the bar is very slow. Just my ¢2 worth.

Thank you David! Thanks for taking a look. I forgot to mention all of the images were shot with the FE 16-35 GM. It's been perfect for these paid architecture jobs. I am shooting 3 medical buildings on Sunday for a different client and will bring the zoom, the Batis 18, the Voightlander 12, and the FE 55. I'm also considering getting a drone to use for these commissioned jobs to get different vantage points. I spoke with one of my clients today and they were pleased to hear that I was considering adding a drone. Not sure which DJI model to get though.

Thanks Gene. I know what you mean. The client wanted some shots with people and some without. Actually the architect posed is some of the shots. He is the one wearing glasses. This was shot at 5 PM last week on a Thursday. The bar does get pretty busy on Fridays and the weekend. I was there last night for Fiesta and it was crowded. I was tempted to get some additional shots to include as a surprise to the architect but I didn't have time since I was with my family.

Really nice shots Sam. The key to engagement photos is to tell a story with them, and very often that means making use of the environment to tell a story with the interaction of your subject and the environment, which you did well here. And man I just browsed your instagram and wow. You post some nice stuff here, but your instagram really highlights your work well. Nice stuff. For environmental portraits you basically apply the same compositional concepts as a landscape or cityscape for the background, and just put people in front of them. I think you definitely have an eye for it.

My daughter was asked to model some bows. She's really starting to take direction well. Very different from my boys lol.

best quality, the pro, best overall size and decent IQ, the air. I really want the air, but that small sensor... Why can't it have the pro sensor..... May still get the air, just a million times more practical and travel friendly.

If possible wait to see what the Mavic Pro II has in store. Rumors are heating up about a not-too-far-off release. The size of the Mavic is just so perfect for ease-of-use.

All that said, if you have a pressing work need, then waiting just won't do. :)

Thanks guys. I was thinking the Phantom Pro to get the better image sensor but I will check out the Magic Pro and upcoming Pro II.

I received my very first wagyu ribeye steaks from Allen Brothers today. This is the first and maybe the last time I try these but I figured I should at least once in my life. The steaks have a large amount of marbling but not so much that there would appear to be more fat than muscle, which doesn't look appealing to me.

These steaks are in the 10 oz range and I'll probably grill one of them tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

Here's a quick shot of one out of the box that I'm thawing out for tomorrow.

The rumor has it that the Mavic Pro's going to get the Phantom Pro's 1" sensor.
