The Blue Angels never disappoint, and for this son of an aviator, they never get old.

Taken at the Vero Beach Airshow on Saturday and Sunday, I only shot with my 135ZA and cropped to what I needed. A 70-400gii or 150-600 would have been ideal, but I wasn't expecting my 200HS to lose so much of its AF power in short order.

Did a few sportraits this past weekend and decided to utilize the FE85 on the a6500. I took someone's advice on this thread about doing the eye AF in AF-C. It works sooo much better then in just AF-S. I was able to capture the eye across the street from the other sidewalk using this method.
I am a full blown believer that full frame is better all around but I would be hard press to tell this came from a APS-C sensor if I didn't know better.

Well I think I'm just more of a fuji guy..
Don't get me wrong the sony 7r3 is a great camera , probably better than my Fuji in many ways and definitely better in image quality . But stil id rather shoot the fuji, i jusr enjoy it more, yes even though the sonys raw files are much better .
Turns out for me IQ isnt everything

QUOTED IMAGE

The creamy fade off is pretty incredible. Mark Galer called the FE85/1.8 Sonys best product of the year.

When I first got the lens, I liked it but I wasn't overly thrilled by it. But that was using it in AF-S. I must have been moving it some. With the button on the lens and using AF-C I have a whole new respect.

if i quit doing portrait work, i would go with the olympus omd em1 mark ii(or whatever the latest when the time comes) for things like size, livebulb, superb IBIS and superb weather sealing.

Looks like big fun! Love the colors in the bubble and the child's expression in the last--almost afraid!
