Keep using the 5 lenses in my sig basically. Realised I prefer 28/55/85 instead of 24-70, and wasn’t using the 90 or the 100-300 enough to justify keeping. I find it hard to accept at times but I think my current lineup is perfect for me

Shhhhh im taking a GFX50s to Moab to try it.

Quick question guys. Is Godox AD200 powerful enough to overpower the sun? Probably not during midday but how about at around 4pm? I sold off all my lighting gear when I decided not to do anymore paid gigs or any formal outdoor portraits, and just kept the Di700A for small personal uses. But I have a prom shoot for my niece and wanted to know how you guys are liking the AD200..

I'm eyeing this one right now. https://www.adorama.com/fplfev200z.html (external link) At $299 for both flash and transmitter (included for free!) doesn't sound too bad? Any thoughts?

another critter from Point Reyes, a male California Quail. At times the 2x loses a little IQ, but not on this one...we were pretty close to the bird...

Thanks. yah i thought so too. It was a quick drive(45mins). I let my now 16yo son practice driving on a freeway and curvy road. we stayed there very shortly and took that one angle only and drove back.

Edit: I'll go back there again for sure with other photogs.

Finding gear you can accept...... hell of a mission. :-P

I've been eyeing the rokinon 35 f1.4 because I have outstanding funds. If only I could get my hands on the Tamron 28-75, that would lower my GAS a lot...... or simply get a drone :-P

I can afford both currently, but dont want to blow funds and get caught in a GAS attack.

The 35 1.4 would have been bought prior to this last trip, but the car broke and the ac broke...those cost almost 2500 bucks...the 35 was used a lot on this trip for the work I was doing.

I'm having a bit of 35mm remorse after selling the CV 35 f1.7.

As good as it was optically, I can no longer shoot with my bread and butter people lenses not having full native abilities. The weight gives me a huge pause, even as a secondary 35, as it most certainly would be.

I may give it a try, will sleep on it.

What catches your interest in that sensor given that it's only 5mp?

More for the concept than the actual sensor. I'd like a high res global shutter sensor one day.

No rolling shutter distortion when shooting video and some motion with photos.

Most importantly for me, unlimited sync speed.

If I remember right, I have read it can overpower the sun and there's only 1/3rd of a stop difference between this and the Flashpoint 360 (don't quote me on this).

This thread would be a good place to ask.

Without a modifier yes...inside a modifier, probably unless your subject is heavily back-lit. Biggest issue is recycle speeds, but its pretty damn powerful for the size.

I'm with you on the concept. Would love to see it happen on something around 25mp.

I can't help but wonder what kind of high speed buffer(s) and/or computing horsepower is required to make that work. ...and then there is the subsequent power demands on the battery.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the engineers work this out.
