To be honest, I'm surprised the original Nik plugins all still work even with Photoshop CC 2018. I'd probably buy this update if additional features have been added or improvements have been made but for now, I'll wait until closer to the end of this month and see what others have to say about it.

That is just it...it doesn't "really" work...if you use brushes, it crashes...I never could get the old version to work with CC2018...so I was still using an older installation of PS...which is annoying since I pay to have the most current...

Update on the install...after nearly 30 minutes...the installer just zoomed to the end and it was done...everything looks pretty much like it did before, slightly different color UI...but it now works with CC2018, and the brush feature works again...

I wonder how well integrated it is with PhotoLab. Glad to hear the install completed Travis.

I let my free trial of PhotoLab run out...I didn't care for it at all...so I have no idea.

Interesting. Using the brush method of applying an effect works fine for me. Normally, I only use Color Efex Pro 4 so I didn't try any of the other plugins. I also never use the brush method anyway as it's just adding a 'hide-all' vector mask which I can do after the fact if I want or need to. (alt + left clicking the vector mask icon, lower right).

I did just try the Silver Efex Pro plugin and the brush method works fine with it as well. I'm running Photoshop CC 2018 on a Windows 7 Pro system if that makes any difference.

Glad you got the install to finally work for you.

Just noticed that the rumored Batis 40 f2 is only slightly smaller than the B85? Hopefully its a typo and they meant the Batis 25. Otherwise, hard nope for me.

Read someone’s post who pointed out that the B25 is only 14mm shorter than the B85 so it would make sense that the B40 would be somewhere in the middle since they all have the same filter thread. However that does mean the 40 is big for what it is which is unfortunate.

If the Batis 40/2 is slightly smaller & lighter than the Batis 85mm..... That might put it at a similar bulk to the FE85.

That I could handle ;)

Well after purchasing the update I realized that it doesn't support earlier versions of MacOS vmad I assumed it would work because I upgraded to CC 2018 without a problem on my version of MacOS but the actual NIK software is only supported on 10.12 or 10.13. To make matters worse I can't upgrade to the newer versions of MacOS because my MacPro isn't compatible with the newer version, catch 22 situation! Might try a hack that will allow igh Sierra to run on older MacPros, what the heck.

Something.... Ummmmm... Different.... I'm unsure if it's something I want to have another go at. Think it could do with a wider lens though than 50mm.....

Time for a little black and white...was going for a film look..no presets, just working with contrast...low key of course, the scene was very low key...hell, it was almost dark! But it was morning.
