After sunrise this morning I stopped at a little estuary near the house, I did not have the a9 with me...not sure why...so I had to do some bird photography with the r2, and while its slow to focus, that resolution helps.
My first ever Tricolored Heron...I have never even seen one in person.

Really great shots Travis. When will your 100-400 arrive? You are a natural for one.

I wish...I can't part with the 70-200...my only concern is the f/11 max with the 2x...I am going to try out the Tamron 150-600 on the a9 and see how it does.

I thought this aspect ratio worked the best for the composition.

That’s one of the reasons I like the 16-35 so much and why it’s probably my most used lens. Most of the time 35mm is enough but occasionally I need something that bit wider

Old beans

These are a few coffee beans from what I had on my shelf. I need to get to the store and buy fresh soon.

No, it's...errr...Dunkin' Donuts Medium Roast.

The beans look lighter than they really are because I shot them in a black bowl with a large diffuse light from above.

Here's the original image uncropped to show the bowl.

Would love to see this in black and white. Still, nicely framed Nadim.
