nice work, the first one is the best IMO. The last two are a little overexposed for me, especially since the brightest part is OOF.

Thanks for the input. i'll check it out.

The specs don't make sense IMO. Stacked sensor (same as a9), but MSRP of $2,790 vs $4,500 for the a9?

Also, the a7s specifically has a 12mp sensor, and the a7rii/iii has a 42mp sensor because you'd get 4k super 35 with no pixel binning at those resolutions. So if the a7s is a video focused camera, I'm not so sure they'd go with anything other than a 12mp or 42mp sensor.

your analysis make sense plus if the rumor is true, it's going to kill the A9 market. I don't think Sony is damn enough to do that.

It really sucks when you want to clean out your bag and simplify the world.

But one frikin lens screws up all the options. That Loxia 21 is so damn easy and good but I could clean up my bag with so many other options by getting rid of it.

Argh.

Think I am ready to let go of the 28/2 55/1.8 and the 90mac probably should put them up now. Feel like I could use a wider fast astro lens and a 24-70GM but I need to end up even on the sale and buy and that wont work there. 16-35GM has crappy stars and the 10 probably should go due to the distortion but I really like it ....other than it doesn't do astro.

Gas!!!!
Batis 18???? gives me autofocus and a second fast wide astro
16-35GM and get rid of the 10mm -- get auto focus and astro but oh the crappy sunstars
Loawa 15 and sell the 10mm? get wide and fast still manual but would end up ahead and could then keep the 55 1.8 for mid range.

Im so close but I am starting to get tired of changing lenses and introducing dust...... also not having a lens that covers sorta everything..... could be a batis 18 that really hits some buttons but its no 10mm lol

I would love the A9 market to die down a bit more so I can afford one :p

The R2 has been great, however I might get rid of it as I'm favoring timelapses and video more and more. An A7iii would make more sense when the price drops, but the megapixels have been darn useful... zoomed images are hard to tell apart from non zoom, so the 24-240 is turning out to be a super versatile lens, even more than the new to me tamron 28-75....

the 28-75 has been pretty good for family snaps, hard to fault.

shadows lifted, daylight WB, otherwise that's it for edit. No crop, the AF is pretty darn fast and feels about as good as the Zony FE 35 in terms of AF speed.

the close focus ability of the lens means that I probably dont be using my macro lens for baby pictures......

QUOTED IMAGE

I had one similar that was mahogany colored and very small that I got in Japan, 1966. Lost it many years ago in a move.

Laugh of the day...overheard at a concert venue that has a "No Professional Photography Equipment" policy.

A guy ahead of me getting stopped for his Sony A7R tells the rent-a-cop: "...this isn't pro equipment. No pro would be caught dead with a Sony."

He got in with his camera. :-D

That's sad that you lost it.

This one is 12" tall, and I've had him since 1961 when I was 18. I admired it in a shop, and my Mother gave it to me as a present.

As I say, an old friend. :-)

according to the security on a concert we attended in SF, any camera no matter how small with interchangeable lens are considered professional. i brought my A6000 with the FE28 before and it was left at the security. it's the reason we bought the Panasonic LX100.

He's lucky he got in.

lol on the no pro statement.
