Man, this would make a nice light setup for interior architecture photography.

It looks like an AD200 dual head set-up.

Depending on the pricing, I think a pair of AD200's might work out better as it gives you some flexibility in terms of changing from a single 400w light to two separate 200w lights as needed.

I've had this large salt and pepper set on my stovetop for many years and thought I should try to photograph them. A challenge since they are polished metal.

Lighting for this shot was my small LED panel through the diffusing center of a 43" 5 + 1 reflector on the right, a white foamcore board on the left and another white board overhead (handheld).

Here's the behind the scenes shot sans overhead reflector board.

I believe it's $330 which is doable for me.

Ive been wanting something less cumbersome than my ad360 .
But the 600 explore seems like too much power for my limites use...
One of these and a 200 would work out much better i think.

Im definelty interested

That's the MSRP of the AD200.

Article says that the AD400 hasn't been priced yet. AD400 should fall somewhere between the AD200 and AD600 pricing. So maybe $500?

I've thought studio lights like these might be a good way for me to go with my 'product' style shooting. If for no other reason than that they have modeling lights which would simplify set up considerably I think.

From last week during an afternoon/evening out.

I seem to be having a love/hate thing going on with the lowly 28-70mm lately. I take some shots which appear rather soft/crap/fuzzy that I'm not happy with & the next I seem to capture something really worthwhile!!!

Maybe some testing needed..... Maybe it's sharper at f/7.1 rather than f/11 or something..... I don't think it's filter related as I pretty much only have/had the one set. The only one I solely use on this lens is the Sigma 95mm CPL......

My bad. I think you're right about the projected cost.

Thank you, Vinz.

I have always very much liked the Chiaroscuro style of lighting (I've posted a few examples on this thread in the past) and that's how these were lit. I have been encouraged by others to develope a personal 'style', and with my current health situation pretty much confining me to 'barracks', this is an ideal style to adopt in a home studio.

Googling 'Chiaroscuro' - or Dark Food Photography - will provide numerous much better explanations of the technique than I could manage in a short post, so I hope you don't mind if I refer you to them, sooner than attempting it myself. However, if I can help in any other way, let me know.

Thank you. i'm going to look for it for sure.

Opps Gene already have one.

Thank you Gene. I'll checkout every input as my food photography gig is coming.

I'm going to use my laptop for tethering using CaptureOne. C1 is awesome for tethering because it has liveview, you can really nail down your composition before shooting. C1 also have solid connection and the fastest. LR takes 9seconds to display the shot, with C1 it's only about 2 seconds.

I bought a laptop stand with wheels. also bought a longer type-c cable. I'm so ready.

I picked up a "new to me" surf boat...the Necky Orbit Fish! Older design, carves and rips a wave. Stoked! :-P

Here's a few shots from a really nice whitewater park about an hour north of Boise in Cascade Idaho. Really lovely place. Great family fun!

I wish people would stop with the Kayak shots, they keep making me want to buy a boat again. Great shots as well :)

Yeah. That one is good. Just some others seem a bit 'meh' -?

I'm on holiday on the south coast in a few weeks so I need to look into it soon - Hopefully doing a few sunrise/sunset locations so want the best ;-)a That above shot is actually focus stacked pretty much 50/50 top & bottom.

Thanks :-)
