Nice Eriet!!!
I thought about one but am saving the shekels I have for the a7000 and 200-600 when
they get announced (if ever).
Lately I've even toyed with the idea of the 400/2.8 but I'm putting almost exactly the same
amount into the ground (new well up at the cabin and the drillers are proud of their machine).

ever see Mr Blanding builds his dream house........ the well is only 15 ft down there..... but 150 ft where they are drilling

only other things I am thinking is the 2x TC and sell the 1.4x TC and then save for the next megapixel monster

I still rarely use the 1.4.
No real GAS...just biding my time.
I thought I had a Voigt 40mm/1.2 on the way.
Saw the 'in stock' button at Adorama when I clicked buy no.
Next day I get the typical backorder e-mail.

Helen Oster where are you ;)

But Eriet I'm lately doing the math you do, if I sell the 400DOii I'd
almost be halfway to the 400/2.8, thing is I can barely hold the DOii
for 10 min's anymore and I start to shake.
Extrapolating, I'd start shaking with the 400/2.8 in 4 mins.
I'd not be the first to trip on a monopod but I don't want to be next ha!

Hey, just thought of something I'm gassy for. A pancake 20mm---am I the only one ???
The Sammy 24/2.8 that just got here is like a feather but I want wider.

Rumors say we might get a 500 and 600 f/5.6 prime next, plus a 200-600 of some kind..

Im suspecting they typoed on the 500 and 600 though and they're actually f/4 primes, the 200-600 seems like it should be a competitor to the Sigma 150-600 and hopefully priced like Nikon's 200-500....

I got my first batch of photos imported from the 150-600 on the A7III and yeah, when it hits/works its great, but it does have consistency issues with AF.. im thinking ill just hold onto the MC-11 for now and use it but i really want an alternative because i think if i went some place or was going to do something serious id slap it back on my 7DII instead and its getting to a point where id be keeping that camera just for that one lens..

Also yes, confirmed dust on my sensor, Woops. gotta clean out my A7III before i take it out again.. not sure when it happened but its definitely there as ive found it in the same spots on several other images i shot

Really really wish ANY OF THE MANUFACTURERS would incorporate some kind of "protector" that slaps down when you hit the lens release and release the lens that covers the sensor up, one because im terrified of something happening when switching lenses on a mirrorless and two to prevent dust from getting in there when you do

While I really liked the ease of use the Godox XProS provides with that nice big screen, and the 5 groups you can set...at one point I was firing the AD200 at one power and the V860II at another ....the lack of a hotshoe mount is a PITA...I started out with my wireless trigger just hanging there, but it kept falling out or loosing connection...I don't want to modify my triggers hot shoe mount, since I use it a lot when not shooting with the XPro...trying to come up with ideas for using both together...the X1T had a shot shoe mount on top...

my problem with the Xpro is funny. I'm short and when i raise my camera on a tripod, i can't see the screen lol. so with my last RE gig, I used my V860II as a master trigger. and when I need more light, I can fire it as well. lol

Travis there's another way. if you have an X1T trigger, use it on the camera's hot shoe and control the light remotely using the Xpro, it will also solve my problem lol. I can walk around around the room too using my iphone to control the camera and remotely controlling the light with the Xpro.

I'm not MedicineMan Helen but I wanted to give you a heads-up that I just emailed you regarding an order I placed through Amazon from Adorama. If I had noticed the seller was Adorama, I would have just ordered directly through them.

Helen, just wanted to say I had a good overall experience with my recent order from Adorama. My Canon tilt-shift lens arrived securely with no damage to the box or the lens itself. One improvement that could be made is that it took a long time for my order status to be updated. It kept saying in progress and then after a day or so of waiting, it finally said ready for shipping. Thank you.
