My submittal at the 52 week challenge thread.

A wide angle macro at 400mm from my garden.

I really love the look of the 100-400 for this type of work. The MM is great for large insects and the focal length keeps you away from skittish things like butterflies

More from my 150-600 and MC-11

Thanks Vinz. I'll check it out. As I mentioned, I can see the live view when I open that window but I can't see the resultling image after I make an exposure. Is there another word the program uses for 'Library' or is that the word I need to look for?

Off topic, but if anyone was interested in the release of Mavic Pro 2, check below link.. Wow, Zoom and Pro models.

https://bgr.com …hanks-to-british-catalog/ (external link)

If anyone wants to buy the Mavic 2 upon release, I strongly suggest pre-ordering on release date. I am carefully speculating that they will sell out fast and remain sold out for weeks if not months, just like how the first Mavic Pro did..

i am soooo glad i waited i almost bougt a autel recently, i have a original mavic and i luv it, more than impressed with the images, 1inch sensor should help with higher iso, the zoom model doesnt interest me but the pro looks promising, sad that i am sure none of the orignal items wont interchange, i have 3 good batteries and tons of extra props etc but i am sure they wont fit the new pro

Thank you Gene. Haha, you may be right. First one is free but I would charge on future ones if there is interest. It took me an hour to render this one. Most of it was learning how the actions worked in PS and tweaking to my liking. I don't know if this is close to the architecture sketches that David and Travis work on or have experience with.

I tried the tilt feature on this scene from my lens but it didn't quite look right so I edited the normal version. Glad I took a few with no tilt. That shiny glass building with the cranes is the new Frost Bank Tower going up here in SATX. It's quite an addition to our skyline.

Nice Alfredo. Remember you can also use tilt to increase dof at a given aperture as opposed to adding the blur effect. I actually liked the way you added the blur on your recent image but just thought I would mention the other use for tilt in case you were not aware (apologies if you were)

Thanks Eddie. I’m finding lots of uses for this lens. For example, say there is a light pole in front of a building. I take a normal shot. Then I shift the lens a bit to the right or left. I take both shots into Photoshop and run the photomerge tool and let it merge both shots but with the pole removed. I will have to test this out.

Gene, you were right. Client would like to know how much I would charge for the building owner and architect to have a copy. I have no idea how to license this. I don't think I would charge much.
