If you're leaning (pardon the pun) towards the one on the right, have you tried adding a crossbar to the A somehow?

Maybe like this? (I just lined up the end of the crossbar with the outer width of the angled bar).

Nicely iterated Gene. I'm undecided if the horizontal stripe is needed, but it's very helpful to consider numerous possible options.

I also "lean" towards this one, but I would further add that I feel that the bottom crop of the "A" angle needs to align with the bottom of the "M", which will help ground the entire logo composition. The top is ok as is, but I'd also explore cropping horizontally to align with the top of the "M" or even cropping stroke vertically (parallel to the "M").

Thank you Gene and David. I agree it's good to explore several versions. I was thinking the same thing David regarding cropping vertically the stroke of the top of the A. I'll align everything up using guides in Photoshop.

I really agree with the alignment comment...I missed that earlier...

With this slash of the top of the A...cross bar for sure to me...that looks really nice now.

Thanks Travis. I like the cross bar too. It kind of gives this optical illusion. Now should I lose the connecting bar for the top of the M? Hmmm.

Not to my eye...I like it as is, a lot...are you going to stay black only or play with color?

Cool thank you. I hadn’t considered a color logo.

i like the second one and i like that you made it thicker.

If you design a logo, it's better to create it using a vector graphic software like Adobe Illustrator or Affinity Designer.

In case you don't know, unlike bitmap images(pixel), vector will always be sharp no matter how much you resize it.

Second one does it for me. The first one is a too abstract. Gene's little horizontal line makes it look more like an AM. For branding purposes you want that AM to stand out.

I actually like the circle in the earlier examples. I think it will watermark better.

Thanks Vinz. I don't have either of those programs. Agree that vectors are more suitable for logo design and working with typeface.

Thank you Carlo. I agree with you. I tried adding the logo above to my photography business templates and I'm not sure if it works at smaller sizes. It's important for a logo to scale properly. I'm going to work on refining the circle logo some more.

Not sure if you want a novices comment and from afar. Not sure either who your intended reach is, but
I like your circular ones. They have an immediate impact and I could 'read' it.
But, and probably from my background, think of the other as a set of cricket stumps with the bat leaning against them.
In that, you'd be seen as someone more than capable of batting in cricket. No mean feat.

Please don't take that as a slight or denigration. Just where my mind heads when I see that imagery. Remember cricket, here, is a part of life.

The circular ones to me are quite stunning and have class, finesse.

How about something like this. I tried to match the space between the A and M on one leg of the M, moved things around for a bit more symmetry, tried to match the top of the M over the A to match the right leg top, deleted the white background, inverted the color of the letters to white and added a drop shadow. The background is transparent.

Of course, you can always inverse the white to black and turn off the drop shadow
