Thanks Vinz. I don't have either of those programs. Agree that vectors are more suitable for logo design and working with typeface.

I can't afford Illustrator so I bought the Affinity Designer. It's only $50 and i think it can compete with Illustrator.

When I stepped out to my car this evening, I found this Katydid below the door handle waiting to greet me.

Looks great Alfredo...can’t decide which I like better because they’re both strong.

Another thing to possibly iterate on is to explore the positioning of the horizontal line on the “A”. Lowering it a bit could give the overall graphic more stability. Just a thought, I’m liking what you’ve done already.

Great colors and you handled the huge dynamic range well.

Loving this one. Something I rarely rarely ever see.
From an image point of view I do think the light star upper front left drew my eye away from where I wanted my eye to be and that
was down low middle in the thick of the action.

While I'm writing this I think of the irony. On the big trip two months ago we were super excited to get to see St. Johns NL and Halifax NS, both of which a dinky little
drops in the NYC bucket! and further that you live this danger-excitement every day whereas it is a major journey for us.

Don't think you can go wrong this latest or the circle brand but the circle does
remind me of a brand as in a hot glowing red branding iron.

I wanted to play too, just a dash of color, hope you don't mind.

How about something like this. I tried to match the space between the A and M on one leg of the M, moved things around for a bit more symmetry, tried to match the top of the M over the A to match the right leg top, deleted the white background, inverted the color of the letters to white and added a drop shadow. The background is transparent.

Of course, you can always inverse the white to black and turn off the drop shadow

One thing to remember and think about is the weight, or stroke of the lines. Too thin and they cant be done in embroidery. They will have to be thicker for that.

what seems like a simple logo, turns out very difficult to perfect ;-)a

It took me a year to go through the entire process with a seasoned pro...yeah, it's not easy.

The 38" GLow Parapop was waiting on me when I got to work...I didn't realize it comes with two mounts, the bowens type, and it can be setup to acccept speed lights too. Although, it looks like the mount for that is a little too short for most speedlights...I was supposed to put this to use tomorrow night, but we have to reschedule due to a last minute school function...

Thanks guys for the help with my logo. You’re right Charlie and Travis. It’s not easy designing one!

——————————-

This morning I went way up on a lift to shoot Mission San Jose. Crappy iPhone shot to give you an idea. I mainly used the FE 16-35 GM and used the 24 TSE early on for a few shots. I think I was up 80 ft.

I had never even considered embroidery. Interesting.
