This morning I went way up on a lift to shoot Mission San Jose. Crappy iPhone shot to give you an idea. I mainly used the FE 16-35 GM and used the 24 TSE early on for a few shots. I think I was up 80 ft.

My client rented one for the week to do repairs in the Mission. They asked if I wanted to get some shots from the lift and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.

Anyone following the upcoming Nikon Z mount? Looks intriguing so far and appears to be very large for a FF sensor.

They grow fast man. I'm trying to make a point to shoot more photos and video even if it feels monotonous.

Loving this one. Something I rarely rarely ever see.
From an image point of view I do think the light star upper front left drew my eye away from where I wanted my eye to be and that
was down low middle in the thick of the action.

While I'm writing this I think of the irony. On the big trip two months ago we were super excited to get to see St. Johns NL and Halifax NS, both of which a dinky little
drops in the NYC bucket! and further that you live this danger-excitement every day whereas it is a major journey for us.

it is awesome that we get to share the different corners of the country .. and world that we all live in.

one of the things i find difficult with these sort of photos .. is that because theres always so much going on theres almost always more in frame that i want , always feels like a compromise with composure. .

even that white car on the left i feel distracts from the hustle and bustle that i was trying to show

I do. I just migrated from Nikon (I still have it, but I plan to sell it). See here: http://jtra.cz …750-to-sony-a7iii/en.html

But if Nikon will make better cameras, I may eventually migrate back to Nikon mirrorless. Or even Canon FF mirrorless if those will be better

I could have waited few months to see what Nikon would come up with, but I decided that I would not want to buy first version of it anyway. Nikon has history of issues upon new releases. This release will be very different from past so issues will be likely worse. There will be limited lens set. Adapter will likely not work with Sigmas (24 and 135 were my most used lenses, E-mount availability of those were what sold me on E-mount along with A7III AF system) and Tamrons.

Been shooting them every day, and will for the first month, biggest changes in that time frame.

Video is uninteresting since the baby does nothing, but a time lapse slide show will be nice, or mini clip compilation.

Haha! If only you had said earlier, I'd have saved you a slice. Too late now, I polished it off almost before the light hit the sensor!
