in an effort to make my pictures look a bit less "snapshotish" I did a bit of cloning out of what I thought might be distracting lights and random garbage on the street..
the light on the left was left(above the car ) over from a series of lights , but its the one I couldn't get rid of without leaving very obvious hints .
also, its a blend of two photos , using what I consider was the best of both in terms of streaking lights but also exposure in certain parts.

Thank you Gene. The building was already nicely lit. I see some weird fringing along the horizon that is not there in my full size image.

I was originally going to get the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art but considering its size and weight, I decided against it. I've been more and more curious about the upcoming Batis 40mm f/2 and I think this will make a much better native lens for me to get.

Hopefully the price is reasonable and it's a decent size and weight!

I'm going to shoot wedding next weekend and I'm planning to just shoot in compressed raw. I don't wanna buy another UHS-II SD card as they are still expensive.

Is compressed raw not bad for wedding?

I have the Sony UHS-II 128GB and sandisk 128GB UHS-I on slot 2 as jpeg backup. I'm shooting simultaneous Raw+Jpeg.

shot at Aperture Priority @ F4 handheld and +3EC on the EC Dial. turns out 1/40sec ISO25600

I went -2 on lightroom's exposure slider

I shoot everything in compressed raw. Cant really see the difference between compressed and uncompressed

It’s slightly smaller in length than the batis 85 and light too. Whilst bigger than I expected a 40mm to be the batis 85 isn’t exactly massive

I’ve never used uncompressed raw. Granted i don’t ahoot weddings or for clients but never noticed an issue with compression

For me weight is more important than size and even if it's the same weight as the 85mm, it will still be good for carrying around.

Are you interested in getting one?

Why not shoot raw to both slots? And why only use the most expensive cards? The regular UhS-I cards are plenty fast, I never had an issue with them being too slow.

Thanks
Seems like variants all round.
Dad made molds out of large jam tins that connected with a 4" nail slipped through a formed roll on the ends.
That sat on a flat tray and the pie formed up inside it.
We still hav the molds.
My wife took up the pie making too, but we stopped a while back - all that lard aint good for the system so they say :p
Didn't kill mum or dad. Well not until they were in 90's. Oh well. Mm. Might have to get that mold out,

Richard
